Going through this week’s service of the 6th commandment, Thou shall not murder, made me realize how our world are viewing murder. First what is considered as murder to us? Does the killing of animals consider as murder? Well yes it is, to take an animal’s life without valid reason like for food is considered as murder. And we can see that being rampant through the world today, like in the skinning of life animals for their fur. But more shockingly, we humans are actually legalizing the murder of human beings.
This mass genocide comes in the form of government allowing the process of abortion. God created all our lives and only He has the power and authority to take it away. What rights do we have to take away these precious lives that God created because of a night of fun or when human indulge in sex. Why don’t people consider the developing fetus as a human being? Is it because it does not resemble a human? With the recent development in mordent technology, we are able to see the development of the fetus and it also has a heartbeat like all of us humans.
People in the world today take all things for granted, because what we don’t know shields us from the gruesome truth. And God gave us those commandments to protect us from facing these gruesome truths. Let us all face the true fact, the moral standard of our world has dropped and people are changing their attitude as well. This is the silent scream.... Watch it if you can take it
Murder occurs not only physically, but emotionally as well. I believe we all have a time when we get so angry with someone that we even wish for that person to die or some other mishaps of happen. And our Lord Jesus also tells us that this is murder as well. Anger is an emotion that remains neutral till we do something about it. And anger comes in two forms, destructive and constructive anger.
Destructive anger is the kind when we let our anger take hold of us. In this, we may end up hurting others, ourselves and / or damaging or destroying things. But constructive anger is the opposite of destructive anger, in constructive anger; we channel the anger we feel to do other things instead of venting it all out. How we all react to our anger is all up to us, the choice is for us to make.
Even when I am all alone in this world, only You Lord.
Only You Lord, will never ever forsake me.
By His command, I will always love you.
