Well some of you may say i'm crazy or stubborn but here are the pics of the medal for completing the standard chartered 42.195km marathon.... And well i do feel that it is crazy but everyone should do it at least once in their life.

Me trying to find a perfect position for the medal, but i gave up and just took the pic anyway. (And yes, i was running in orange!! Orange tribe alll the way!!! No guts no glory -> Glory to God)

The pics of the medals... I only got 1 photo in my running attire and it is with Jeremy, cos i did not bring my phone for the run.
My completion time is around 6hrs and 53
mins of non stop running, jogging and walking.
Here is the brief outline of the day:
3am: woke up and made
milo for the run, filling all 4 of my water bottles with extra sweet
milo.
3:40am: went to the taxi stand to wait for
jeremy, and he was late. We all drove over to amber's place. Then to marina to park the car...
ect ect.
5.30am: Start... ran till like 5 km and i asked
jeremy to go on first, cos my knees were hurting (due to his training). So i continued on jogging and walking till i reached east
coste park.. There around the 32 to 34 km mark, i saw the
kenyas running by around 1.5 hrs into the marathon... I can say they are inhuman
lor.
I continued on till i reached the
tranport bus for people who wanted to quit half way around the 14km mark. Then it struck me, why on earth am i running this race and for what am i running for?
I hit the 17 km mark and it was an hour faster then when
jem trained me at 2.5hrs... And i managed to hit 21km by 3hrs.
I tell you, running alone for so long without a friend will really make u go crazy
lor, thank goodness i got my
ipod with me (:
So i continued till around 25 km when both my legs started to cramp up on me, forcing me to walk most of the time. Then this song came on and i played it over and over (i checked it just now, i played it over 40 times
le)
Here is the song:
Mercy came running
By Phillips, Craig and Dean
Lyrics: Once there was a holy place
Evidence of God's embrace
And I can almost see mercy's face
Pressed against the veil
Looking down with longing eyes
Mercy must have realized
That once His blood was sacrificed
Freedom would prevail
And as the sky grew dark
And the earth began to shake
With justice no longer in the way
Chorus:
Mercy came running
Like a prisoner set free
Past all my failures to the point of my need
When the sin that I carried
Was all I could see
And when I could not reach mercy
Mercy came running to me
Once there was a broken heart
Way too human from the start
And all the years left it torn apart
Hopeless and afraid
Walls I never meant to build
Left this prisoner unfulfilled
Freedom called but even still
It seemed so far away
I was bound by the chains
From the wages of my sin
Just when I felt like giving in
Chorus
Sometimes I still feel so far
So far from where I really should be
He gently calls to my heart
Just to remind me
Chorus
This song just kept me going on, and even letting me find the reason to run this marathon. It was here that i told God this, that if i complete the marathon, the glory and honor goes to Him and the medal will go to fervour and orange tribe. God ran with me and God rules... Orange tribe owns all.
Wahahaha. But safety and fair play is still very important.
Well it was crazy, but God really did carry me
throug this run, i even met
han liang and
jerome in the run. And even they said my training was crazy
lor...
Jem made me run 4km on
mon, 10 on wed and 17 on
thurs... With just these 3 runs, he let me join this marathon.. I managed to overtake the 2 of them, but not too sure if they over took me in the end...
I continued on this
grulling run, then this thought came into my head. The pain and muscle cramps that i was and still am suffering (and i tell you every movement is really pure agony, from my gluts, tights and hamstring to both sides of both knees to calf to the entire foot) these pain that i am suffering is nothing like what Jesus took on the cross. And even when i am of no worth to Him at all. God's love is really just amazing, even to the point when i felt Him telling me to jog and amazingly i could despite all the pains.
Like the verse Isaiah 40:31
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Even when i am on the verge of giving up, Lord You never let go. And Lord, i will trust You amids my pains and sufferings, for You send Your Son, Jesus Christ to die for me. To take on pains even more then what i endured. All the effort, all the glory and completing this run is all to You and only You. It is a
miracle that i can endure all this, when i was in tears during jem's 17km training. Thank You Lord. It is all to You (:
Recovering from the run, but can still go out for meals and play.
